ORRICK -- Senior Kylee Winfrey tossed the sixth shutout of the season for the Sweet Springs softball team, allowing only two hits Friday during a 14-0, five-inning romp at Orrick (0-4).

The Lady Greyhounds scored six runs in the second inning, which opened with senior Lauren Eagle's triple. A walk and an infield grounder loaded the bases, with junior Averi Eckhoff bouncing out to bring in the first run. Junior Addi Snider walked to force in a run, two scored on senior Brooke Connor's double, Winfrey provided an RBI single and freshman Jaedyn Winfrey's sacrifice fly finished the rally.

Eckhoff's triple and a double by Snider provided two more runs for Sweet Springs in the third, junior MaKenzie Vogelsmeier knocked in a run with a double in the five-run fourth and the younger Winfrey stole three bases -- including home -- after reaching on an error in the fifth.

The Lady 'Hounds (15-1) travel to Wellington-Napoleon on Monday.
