MFD personnel perform extrication training

Monday, September 10, 2018
Marshall Fire Department personnel perform an extrication exercise at the fire station Friday, Sept. 7. For the exercise they utilized an old school bus that had been donated by Marshall High School over a year ago. According to Fire Chief Tony Day, it was a good opportunity to train because Hearst, the company that originally came up with the tools for the Jaws of Life, was on hand to demonstrate some new equipment. Firefighters were able to see new battery-powered equipment, as opposed to hydraulic.
