Kurtis Walden, 19, of Sweet Springs, is facing charges in Saline County after an incident allegedly occurred last November.

According to a probable cause statement, the officer of record noted Walden had been in the basement of a Sweet Springs residence with a 13-year-old girl and advised her to remove her clothes before proceeding to have sex with her.

Unofficial online court documents state his arraignment is scheduled in September and his bond was set at $50,000 cash only with conditions.

In the probable cause statement filed in June, the officer said there is also a case pending in Cass County for an alleged sexual assault on a minor. Additionally, Walden was arrested in Higginsville on Feb. 25 of this year when an officer reportedly conducted a traffic stop and located what was believed to be .50 grams of methamphetamine in his wallet, according to a probable cause statement filed in Lafayette County. Unofficial online court documents state he was charged with a class D felony of possession of controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid.
