Ronald Lee Payne
Ronald Lee Payne, 61, of Marshall, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow and the Rev. David Slusher officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Born Oct. 8, 1956, in Marshall, he was the son of Charles Marion “Puddin” Payne and Edith Mae Overstreet Payne, who survive of Marshall. He lived in Marshall his entire life, where he was a 1974 graduate of Marshall High School and employed as a developmental assistant at Marshall Habilitation Center for over 30 years. He enjoyed bowling on leagues and watching football and baseball.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter, Candace Ellensohn and husband Eric of Wellington; one son, Nick Payne and companion Lauren Thiel of Sedalia; three grandchildren, Brooklynn, Kaylin and Ayden; one sister, Donna Lyon of Marshall; two brothers, Daryl Perkins and Roger Payne, both of Marshall; as well as nieces and nephews.
