Eleven Viking Learning Academy preschool graduates took to the stage to receive their diplomas Thursday, May 24. While not everyone was thrilled with the idea of standing in front of a crowd, most graduates relished in the spotlight.

In front of an audience full of proud parents and family members, the class recited the Pledge of Allegiance, before performing “Welcome, Welcome Everyone,” “ABC Twist,” “Baby Bumble Bee” and “Baby Shark.”

Following the musical numbers, students were called one by one to receive their diplomas from preschool teacher Brandy McRoberts.

Karlee Bradbury, Ethan Ward, Teagan Reeder, Thomas Papreck, Katelynn Coleman, Avery McManus, Emma Green, Caleb Smith, Sammy Jo Donnell, Aspen Vasquez and Alice Summers were all present Thursday evening to accept their diplomas. Axel Rave was unable to attend the ceremony.

Before concluding the ceremony, McRoberts stepped out on stage to thank parents and students for a successful school year.

“Students, thank you guys so much for a wonderful year,” she said. “I’ve had such a great time being your teacher. I wish you guys all the luck in the world in kindergarden. Parents, the year is over now. Now I return your children a little taller, months wiser, and a little more responsible. Even though they could have grown without my help, it has been a privilege to see their personalities grow day by day. Thank you guys for this opportunity.”
