Lori E. Johnson
Lori E. Johnson, 49, of Slater, died Monday, May 14, 2018, at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Slater, with the Rev. Terry Sandwith officiating. Burial will be in High Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 18, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the church. Memorials are suggested to the High Hill Cemetery or the Saline County Fairgrounds in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.
Born June 30, 1968, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late John Abner Page III and Linda Sellmeyer Page. On July 11, 1998, in rural Slater, she married James Johnson, and he survives of the home. Mrs. Johnson attended New Prospect Baptist Church, north of Slater.
She was a 1986 graduate of Slater High School, and graduated in 1990 from the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Agriculture, having been a member of its pilot program of hotel and restaurant management. She was active in the Orearville 4-H, and a Slater FFA alumni. She worked as head accountant for the Holiday Inn in Columbia for several years, and currently was an accountant for Central Missouri Agri-Service in Marshall.
Also surviving are two sons, James Lawton Johnson and John Samuel Johnson, both of the home; a brother, Mike Page of Slater; three sisters, Susan Peuster of Slater, Jane Chapuis of Louisiana, Mo., and Karen Riddle of Slater; and cousins, who were like siblings, Debbie Mumm and Ross Page.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother, John Stephen Page.
