Richard H. Luebbering, 85, of Marshall, died Friday, May 11, 2018, at The Living Center in Marshall.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall. Prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at the church with visitation following from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Visitation will also be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2018, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in St. Thomas. Graveside services with military rites will follow at 2:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church or Fitzgibbon Hospital/The Living Center in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Born Aug. 27, 1932, in St. Thomas, Richard was the son of the late Ben Luebbering and Emma Lueckenotto Luebbering. On Feb. 5, 1955, he married Monica Libbert, who survives of the home. Richard lived in Marshall since 1972, moving from St. Thomas. He worked at F.M. Stamper Co. in Jefferson City and retired in 1994 from ConAgra Foods in Marshall. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of Malta Bend American Legion Post No. 558. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church where he was an ordained deacon, worked with the R.C.I.A. and was a 4th degree member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 876.

Richard is survived by his wife, Monica; four children, Roger Dale Luebbering (Jo) of Columbia, Charles Lee Luebbering (Martha) of Tucson, Ariz., Theresia Lynn Willis (Alan) of Sturgeon, and Shirley Ann Bosley (Junior) of Marshall; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Evelyn Luebbering of Lohman, Henrietta Kleffner of Taos, and Lucille Engelmeyer of Wardsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerome and Ralph Luebbering; and one sister, Marcella Morff.
