Blumhorst participates in ceremony honoring Peace Corps volunteers

The first Peace Corps volunteers to die in service were honored at a commemorative ceremony last week in Bolivar, some 56 years after their deaths. According to an article from www.ozarksfirst.com, family members of David Crozier and Larry Radley spoke about the menís sacrifices. Slater native Glenn Blumhorst spoke at the ceremony and assisted in decorating Crozierís grave marker. Blumhorst is the president and CEO of the National Peace Corps Association. Crozier and Radley died in a plane crash on April 22, 1962.
