Marshall Ministerial Alliance to sponsor baccalaureate service
The faith community of Marshall, sponsored by the Marshall Ministerial Alliance, will host the 2018 senior class of Marshall High School Baccalaureate Service on Sunday afternoon, May 6, beginning at 4 p.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, located at 1801 S. Miami Ave., in Marshall.
Marshall High School graduating seniors are asked to be in cap and gown, and all members of the class of 2018 are invited to attend, along with family, relatives and friends from the community.
This is a long-standing tradition for Marshall High School classes.
The one-hour service will include instrumental music presentations from the Marshall High School Orchestra, including “Carillon” by Bizet, “Graduation Day” by Susan H. Day, and “Wisp” by Shirley Joe Atwell.
The Marshall High School Singers will present “I Will Not Leave You Comfortless” by Evertt Titcomb and “Omnia Sol” by Randall Stroope.
Senior class members will present scripture readings during the service.
Graduating seniors and the class president will bring the “greetings” from the 2018 senior class.
The Rev. Randy Shannon, pastor of Cumberland Presbyterian Church, will bring the message to the senior class during the service.
Immediately following the service, there will be a reception in the St. Peter Parish Hall honoring seniors and their families. A “graduation charge” will be given to the class members before they depart.
The Marshall Ministerial Alliance cordially invites the community to attend.
