Receipts: 775 Week Ago: 503 Year Ago: 1260

Compared to last week, based on limited comparisons to last week’s light supply steers traded with a firm undertone and heifers sold with a lower undertone on lighter demand. Overall demand was moderate for a mix of both yearlings and new crop calves with most selling in smaller packages. As we have seen for several weeks now, demand was best for grazing cattle. The feeder offering included 67 percent steers and bulls and 33 percent heifers with 53 percent over 600 lbs. Cows and bulls totaled 12 percent of the offering. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 2.00 higher.
