Mariam Anderson, 88, of Marshall, died Monday, March 5, 2018, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Marshall, with the Rev. Wayne Doolin officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Highland Sacred Gardens Cemetery in Sedalia. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church. Born Aug. 3, 1929, in Smithton, Mariam was the daughter of the late Edgar Wiechen and Leota Rages Wiechen. She was a graduate of Smithton High School and attended Sedalia Business College. She had lived in Marshall since 1949, moving from Smithton. On Nov. 10, 1951, in Smithton, she married Leonard Earl “Pete” Anderson, who preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 2011. She had worked at Missouri Valley Hatchery, Marshall State School and Hospital, Schneider’s Office Supply and Lindemann's Office Supply. She was a member of First Baptist Church and its Dorcas Sunday school class.
Survivors include one daughter, Ruth Ann Anderson of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mariam was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Wiechen.
