Jeanne E. Young, 91, of Marshall, died Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at First Christian Church in Marshall, with the Rev. Dr. Loy Hoskins officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church or Missouri Valley College in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Born March 7, 1926, in Kansas City, she was the daughter of the late Henry R. Willems and Mary Sadie Zehr Willems. Jeanne was a 1943 graduate of Marshall High School and attended Missouri Valley College. She was married to Karl J. Caldwell Jr., who preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 1957. On April 3, 1959, she married W.B. “Will” Young, who preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 1998. In 1959, she and Will founded W.B. Young Company in Marshall and remained active in the family business until 2015.  Jeanne was a member of First Christian Church where she was an active member and held various positions there throughout the years. As a member of the community, she served as a member of the Marshall School Board and Indian Foothills Park Board, as well as being a member of Fitzgibbon Hospital Auxiliary, The Monday Club, P.E.O. Chapter GM, and Friends of Arrow Rock. She had also been inducted into the Missouri Valley College Women’s Hall of Fame.

Survivors include one son, Karl “Bub” Caldwell and wife Wilma of Marshall; one daughter, Karolyn J. Caldwell of Marshall; two granddaughters, Stephanie Earnhart and husband Troy, and Rachel Blue and husband Damon; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Judy Kilp and husband Robert of Harrisonville; as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Robert Willems; a sister in infancy; and one nephew, Donald Robert Willems Jr.
