Optimist Club of Marshall holds meeting
The Optimist Club of Marshall met Tuesday, Feb 27, at Patty’s Hav-A-Snak.
John Bargefrede called the meeting to order with 16 members and two guests in attendance.
The invocation was led by Paul Collier and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by John Boyd.
A program was given by Marshall Fire Chief Tony Day about the Community Emergency Response Team in which you get trained to help protect yourself, your family and your community. The training is 20 hours over an eight-week period.
A discussion was held about the club’s 21st annual fish fry.
The 50/50 pot was won by Gary Pennock.
The meeting was adjourned with Gene Cassell leading the Optimist Creed.
