Catherine Miles, 107, of Marshall, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with the Rev. Pam Sebastian and the Rev. David VanHorn officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Born Dec. 9, 1910, southeast of Sweet Springs, Catherine was the daughter of the late Hardin Blake Maupin and Stella Sutherland Maupin. On Nov. 14, 1938, she married John Fox Miles, who preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1970. She lived in Saline County her entire life and was a 1929 graduate of Marshall High School. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and had been a member of the Foster Grandparent Program since 1981. She loved playing bingo and was proud of the fact that she was the oldest foster grandparent in the United States.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, Catherine was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Etter.
