William Timothy ‘Tim’ Boedeker

William Timothy “Tim” Boedeker, 58, of Malta Bend, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, of cancer, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Funeral services with Firefighter Service Honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, at First Christian Church in Marshall, with the Rev. Dr. Loy Hoskins and William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at First Christian Church. Born Feb. 12, 1959, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, he was the son of Harrell Boedeker, who survives of Malta Bend, and the late Marie White Boedeker. He was a 1977 graduate of Malta Bend High School and then attended the University of Missouri-Columbia. Tim lived in Saline County his entire life and worked with the Marshall Fire Department for 32 years and was a battalion chief. In addition to working at the fire department, he also worked with Boedeker Construction of Malta Bend. He was a lifetime member of First Christian Church.

In addition to his father, Harrell Boedeker, he is survived by a brother, Hal Boedeker of Orlando, Fla.; five uncles, John Boedeker, Jerome Boedeker and Jim Boedeker of Marshall, Wayne Boedeker of Bonner Springs, Kan., and Bill White of St. Peters; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
