Lifelong Glasgow resident Sarah Beeler passed away suddenly at Glasgow Gardens on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018. She was 74 years of age.
A visitation for Mrs. Beeler will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at the funeral home, with Pastors Jamie Page and Sandra Enyard officiating. Burial will follow the service at Washington Cemetery in Glasgow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Glasgow Volunteer Fire Department in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service.
Sarah L. Beeler was born in Glasgow on Feb. 2, 1943, the daughter of Paul and Christine (Fuemmeler) Forbes. She attended Glasgow High School. On Oct. 17, 1959, she married George Beeler at St. Mary Church in Glasgow. George preceded her in death Aug. 17, 2007. Sarah loved to quilt, making numerous quilts for family members. Sarah was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on through her family.
She is survived by seven children, Darryl (Tamila) Beeler of Gilliam, Gail (Tim Teeter) Beeler of Bucklin, Paul (Tammy) Beeler of Fayette, Kevin (Lynette) Beeler of Fayette, Gary (Kelly) Beeler of Fayette, Eric (Kerstin) Beeler of Slater, and Sherri (Chris Cleek) Beeler of Glasgow; 25 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Pauline (Bill) Monnig of Glasgow, Geraldine (Don) Norris of Glasgow, Norma (Daryl) Hubbard of Glasgow; a brother Bill (Wendy) Forbes of Glasgow; a brother-in-law, Steve McCabe of Glasgow; and special family friend, Jimmy Don Tyre of Branson.
In addition to her husband and parents, Sarah was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Gennah; and a sister, Donna McCabe.
