Two Nebraska residents were injured when their vehicle was involved in a crash Friday, Nov. 10, on U.S. Highway 65 in Saline County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the incident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. as a southbound 2015 Kenworth — driven by Joel K. Fisher, 35, of Waverly — lost its dual tires and struck a 2012 Ford Escape that was traveling north.

The Escape — driven by Victor C. Green, 70, of Laurel, Neb. — then went off the left side of the road, overturned and came to rest on its top, according to the report. Green and his passenger, Charlene Green, 66, also of Laurel, were both reportedly transported to Carroll County Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Fisher had no reported injuries, and all parties were wearing safety devices.

The crash occurred south of Afton Avenue. MSHP was assisted by Saline County Ambulance District 3 and the Saline County Sheriff’s Department.
