Cathie Hibbard, 63, of Marshall, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Slater, with the Rev. Dwain Carter and the Rev. Bruce Hess officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, First Baptist Church or Heath Creek Baptist Church. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born June 14, 1954, in Independence, Cathie was the daughter of the late Ernest E. Lamb and Juanita Adams Lamb, who survives of Higginsville. She was a graduate of William Chrisman High School in Independence and Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar. On June 3, 1978, she married Mike Hibbard, who survives of the home. She lived in Marshall since 1993 and retired from the Marshall Habilitation Center. She was a member of Heath Creek Baptist Church where she was very active and dedicated to her church activities. She was also a member of Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.
In addition to her husband and mother, Cathie is survived by three children, Lisa Hobbs and husband Jason of Hobbs, N.M., Cathleen Hibbard of Marshall, and Christopher Hibbard and wife Alyssa of Richmond; nine grandchildren, Megan, Lindsey, Katelyn, Kayla, Nathan, Kylie, Kayden, Xander and Kinsley; one brother, Jack Lamb and wife Cindy of Independence; and several nieces and nephews.
