Compared to last week’s run of calves, a heavy supply of almost exclusively big drafts of yearlings were offered. A few comparisons of steers over 550 lbs traded 2.00-5.00 higher and heifers sold mostly steady. A light test of steer calves under 550 lbs sold with a lower undertone. Demand was moderate. Cattle futures continued to rally on Monday. The feeder offering was made up of near 68 percent steers and bulls, 32 percent heifers with 96 percent over 600 lbs.

Cows and bulls totaled 5 percent of the offering. Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 lower.
