Receipts: 706 Week Ago: 0 Year Ago: 685

Compared to two weeks ago, steers under 600 lbs sold 5.00-10.00 higher while a light test of steers over 600 lbs and all weights of heifers traded steady to 5.00 higher. Cattle futures have been on the rise for several days and buyers weren’t too concerned about purchasing several consignments of un-weaned calves as demand was good for all weights with a moderate supply. The feeder offering was made up of near 68 percent steers and bulls, 32 percent heifers with 55 percent over 600 lbs. Cows and bulls totaled 14 percent of the offering.

Slaughter cows sold 2.00-5.00 lower.
