3 injured on interstate Monday
Three people were injured when their vehicles crashed on Interstate 70 Monday afternoon, July 10.
A Missouri State Highway Patrol report states the incident occurred at approximately 3:10 p.m. when a 1994 Chevrolet S10 overtook and struck the rear of a 2005 Buick Terraza near the 77-mile marker. Both vehicles reportedly came to rest on the shoulder.
The driver of the Chevrolet — Harrison D. Washington, 26, of Centralia — and his passenger — Valerie P. Rudy, 64, of Colorado Springs, Colo. — sustained minor injuries. The driver of the Terraza — Mary B. Wade, 65, also of Colorado Springs — sustained minor injuries. The three were transported to the hospital for treatment.
MSHP was assisted at the scene by Saline County Sheriff’s Department and Sweet Springs Ambulance District.
