CMU student athletes recognized

More than 300 Central Methodist University student athletes received awards and recognition for athletic accomplishments during the 2016-2017 school year.

Central held its annual All-Sport Awards Ceremony on Thursday, April 27, during which many of the athletes were honored.

The following CMU students from local areas received awards and recognition. Krysta Cramer, a biology major from Gilliam, who was recognized for serving on the Student Athlete Champions of Character Council; Nikolas Ferri, a history major from Marshall, who was honored with the CMU Team First Award; Carlos Gonzalez Tabares, a psychology major from Marshall, who lettered in men's indoor and outdoor track and field, and was recognized as Heart of America All-Conference for indoor track and field; Kylie Limback, a biology major from Waverly, who lettered in volleyball; Kortnee Vaught, a marine biology major from Sweet Springs, who lettered in women's indoor and outdoor track and field.
