Four from Saline County among April lotto winners
Out of more than $63.4 million in prizes awarded through the Missouri Lottery in the month of April, four Saline County residents claimed $1,000 or more each.
An estimate of $4.1 million in prize money was earned in increments of $1,000 or more. $8,000 of that money was won by residents of Marshall, Slater and Sweet Springs.
The Missouri Lottery reports two Marshall players, Steven Graves and Clare Lightner, as well as Terry Sullivan, of Slater, each won $1,000 from scratchers tickets. The big winner in Saline County, taking home a prize of $5,000, was Walter Chitwood, of Sweet Springs. Chitwood reportedly earned his winnings playing Mega Millions.
