National Day of Prayer Breakfast 'For Your Great Name's Sake'
The Marshall Ministerial Alliance is hosting its annual National Day of Prayer Breakfast event on Thursday, May 4, at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1000 S. Miami Ave., across the street from Marshall High School, in the fellowship hall, beginning at 6:30 a.m. The event will conclude at 7:30 a.m., in time for students and workers to get to their daily tasks. Easy entrance to the fellowship hall is accessed through the back of the building.
The theme is "For Your Great Name's Sake!" The challenge is set forth for every believer in every state asking God, "O Lord, listen! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, hear and act! For your sake, O my God," (Book of Daniel 9:19).
The prayer breakfast will purposely engage and focus in intentional prayer on behalf of our country and our leaders. To engage is to occupy a person's attention and efforts in a particular activity. This means having minds, hearts and actions committed to our communication with God. People will be intentionally engaged in prayers all around the country in this day event.
The prayer leader will be the President of the Marshall Ministerial Alliance, the Rev. Dr. David R. Van Horn. Intentional prayers will concentrate on various aspects of leadership in our nation, government, church, military, family, education, media and business.
The invitation is to come together and pray for America!
