Robert was married to Evelyn Ruth Yates for 55 years and she preceded him in death on Sept. 14, 2013. Robert worked as a farmer most of his life, usually working from daylight until dark. He loved it when family and friends would visit and enjoyed just talking to people. Robert enjoyed fishing, going to sprint car races and just relaxing in front of the television, watching old westerns. He had a stroke that left him paralyzed on his right side, but he learned to care for himself for many years, amazing everyone. He was a good-hearted person who would help anyone in need.
