A class E felony of first degree property damage was charged against Jamie A. Keys, Jr., 20, of Marshall, Saturday, March 18.

Keys allegedly committed the property damage to his neighbor's car with a baseball bat at approximately 5 p.m. Friday, March 17, citing retaliation for his own room and its contents being damaged. The events reportedly took place on Label Avenue, near the 1300 block of South Conway Avenue. According to the probable cause statement, Keys believed the neighbor who owned the car had damaged his room because of a missing electronic device from the neighbor's room, which Keys had mistakenly taken.

Damage to the vehicle was reportedly estimated at $5,000.
