Receipts: 1260 Week Ago: 378 Year Ago: 939

Compared to a very light test last week, steer and heifer calves sold with a steady undertone, no recent comparisons of yearlings. A much larger run of mostly yearling cattle was offered and a majority of the heavier cattle were carrying some flesh after a mild winter with abundant feed resources. Demand was moderate with a heavy supply. The feeder offering was made up of near 70 percent steers and bulls, and 30 percent heifers and 82 percent over 600 lbs. Cows and bulls totaled 6 percent of the offering. Slaughter cows sold steady to 3.00 higher with the advance on lean and boning cows.
