Compared to last week, a lighter test of steers and heifers traded steady to 3.00 higher, except 500-550 lb steers and 450-500 lb heifers 6.00-8.00 higher. The local calf market is mostly back to the prices seen before the bearish cattle on feed report and buyers were confident in purchasing cattle. Demand was moderate to good with a moderate supply of mostly smaller groups of quality cattle. The feeder offering was made up of near 72 percent steers and bulls, 28 percent heifers and 46 percent over 600 lbs. Cows and bulls totaled 14 percent of the offering. A light test of slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 2.00 lower.
