Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves sold fully steady. The majority of the sale was made up of moderate sized lots of yearlings and a couple loads of quality eight weight steers, however no recent comparable sales for a price trend, undertone was steady to firm. The cold and snow/ice prevented a bigger run of calves. Demand was good with a moderate supply. Near 69 percent steers and bulls, 1 percent Holsteins, 30 percent heifers and 78 percent over 600 lbs. Cows and bulls totaled 9 percent of the offering. Slaughter cows sold 2.00-3.00 higher.

Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 147.00-156.00; 550-600 lbs 137.50-145.00; 600-700 lbs 126.75-139.00; 700-800 lbs 125.75-132.00; 800-900 lbs 125.00-132.10; part load 901 lbs 128.60. Medium and Large 1-2 load 829 lbs 128.00; pkg 935 lbs 118.85.

Holstein Steers: Large 3 pkg 446 lbs 70.00.
