Virginia L. Bockstetter, 93, of Marshall, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Born Feb. 11, 1923, in Longwood, Virginia was the daughter of the late Maynard King and Idell Klein King. On Oct. 12, 1946, she married Bernard H. Bockstetter, who preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 1991. Virginia lived in Marshall most of her life where she had worked at International Shoe Factory, then for many years at Saline County Rest Home. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Survivors include four grandchildren, Stephen Roberts and wife Cassie of Kansas City, Tim Roberts of Kansas City, Scott Bockstetter and wife Shelly of Blue Springs, and Robin Christy and husband Shane of Hardeman; seven great-grandchildren, Dylan and Morgan Johnson, Alyson and Madison Bockstetter, Ava, Sophia and Jacob Christy; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda L. Roberts; one son, Laverne H. Bockstetter; and five brothers, Bill, Phillip "Bud", Elwood, John, and Merrel King.
