Compared to last week, steer calves under 550 lbs sold 5.00 to 10.00 higher, heavier weights of steers and all weights of heifers steady to 5.00 higher. Supply was moderate and demand was good. The run of feeders consisted of mostly calves weighing 400-650 lbs and included near 50 percent steers and bulls, 2 percent Holsteins, 48 percent heifers and 36 percent over 600 lbs. Cows and bulls totaled 16 percent of the offering. Slaughter cows sold steady.

Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 153.50-161.50; 500-600 lbs 137.00-153.50, pkg 548 lbs fleshy 145.50; 600-700 lbs 129.00-142.50, 600-650 lbs calves 136.75-137.25; pkg 715 lbs calves 131.50. Medium and Large 1-2 pkg 540 lbs 134.00. Large 1 pkg 645 lbs 135.00; pkg 743 lbs 128.00.

Holstein Steers: Large 3 pkg 753 nlbs 82.00.
