Compared to last week, steers sold steady to 3.00 higher, except 450-550 lbs up to 7.00 higher. Heifers sold firm to 5.00 higher. A proportionate mix of both calves and yearlings was offered and saw good demand. The cattle market has been on a gradual upward trend the last several weeks and many cow-calf producers are now content to go ahead and market their calves. Supply was moderate to heavy. The run of feeders included near 53 percent steers and bulls, 47 percent heifers and 59 percent over 600 lbs. Cows and bulls totaled 10 percent of the offering. Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 higher.
