Mazzio's to celebrate grand re-opening Sept. 16-18.
Mazzio's Italian Eatery in Marshall is celebrating recent restaurant renovations by conducting grand re-opening festivities from Friday, Sept. 16, through Sunday, Sept. 18. During the celebration, Mazzio's will offer large pepperoni, sausage or cheese pizzas for $5 each.
Mazzio's recently conducted a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by many members of the community, including Mayor Mark Gooden, the Marshall Chamber of Commerce and Mazzio's team members including President and CEO Sheri Miksa.
"Marshall is a wonderful community that has been very loyal to Mazzio's for many years," said Miksa, "We're very pleased to continue to invest in our Marshall restaurant and provide an environment where families can continue to gather to enjoy fresh, scratch-made meals."
In addition to reinvesting in their facilities, Mazzio's has a history of reinvesting in the community.
"We're currently in our fourth year of supporting 'No Kid Hungry,' which will help raise awareness and funds to end childhood hunger," said Miksa. "Thanks to the generous donations of our guests, we'll surpass $100,000 in donations to help end childhood hunger in our communities."
The grand re-opening in Marshall coincides with the 55th anniversary of Mazzio's. In 1961, Tulsa school teacher Ken Selby opened a pizza parlor as a side business. Selby left teaching as the popularity of Ken's Pizza grew and over time, he built it into a large family of Mazzio's restaurants that today spreads across nine states. As part of the anniversary celebration, guests can purchase a large Ken's Supreme pizza for only $11.00 and add a large 1-topping pizza and get both for $19.61.
