Several dancers ages 5-19 and their families from Shapes Dance and Acro Studio in Marshall boarded the Carnival Cruise ship Paradise on July 23.

The studio was selected to perform a professional show in the Normandy Theater aboard ship during the six-day cruise, which traveled to Cozumel, Mexico and the Grand Cayman Islands. The theme of the show was "Oh the Places You'll Go," which featured dancers traveling to different destinations and a production finale with the entire cast of "Bollywood." Dancers had the opportunity to meet and take classes from the professional theater cast members of the Carnival Paradise.

Tracey Wozny, director of Shapes Dance and Acro Studio stated, "Every five years our studio takes a 'big' trip outside of the Missouri area to give our students an opportunity to travel and experience life beyond their own towns. This year was a huge success as we had over 215 dancers, families and faculty from our studio be a part of this adventure. Our students were able to experience a live performance on a cruise ship and make memories that will last a lifetime."
