Sedalia - Central Missouri Sales Company Feeder Cattle Report for June 11:

Compared to two weeks ago, not enough comparable sales to establish a market trend. Futures took a beating today with nearby contracts closing near limit down, however cheap corn is holding up the feeder cattle market. A few part loads and a load lot of yearlings was offered with some packages of calves mixed in. Demand was moderate to light on a moderate to heavy supply. The run of feeders included near 48 percent steers and bulls, 52 percent heifers with 69 percent over 600 lbs. Cows and bulls totaled 11 percent of the offering. Slaughter cows sold steady when compared to two weeks ago.
