Cattle Auction Report for 7/12/16

   No recent price comparison as the last sale was three weeks ago. Futures under 
pressure again early this week but the local cash feeder market had some strength 
after the summer break. Supply and demand moderate. Cows and bulls accounted for 24 
percent of the total offering. The feeder supply consisted of 56 percent steers and 
bulls and 44 percent heifers; 49 percent of all the feeder cattle weighed over 600 
lbs. 

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  400-500 lbs 171.00-180.00; lot 545 lbs 
170.00; 600-700 lbs 150.00-151.00, pkg 628 lbs thin 160.00; 700-800 lbs 140.00-
141.50.  Medium and Large 1-2  400-500 lbs 156.00-164.00; 500-600 lbs 159.00-
163.00; 600-700 lbs 135.00-140.00; 700-800 lbs 130.00-132.00. 

   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1  pkg 391 lbs 158.00; pkg 465 lbs 151.50; 
500-600 lbs 132.00-145.00; 600-700 lbs 131.50-135.50; lot 743 lbs 128.00.  
Medium and Large 1-2  pkg 478 lbs 141.00; 500-600 lbs 134.50-145.00; 600-700
