Howard 'David' Jones Jr.
Howard "David" Jones Jr., 73, of Marshall, died Sunday, April 10, 2016, at his home.

Born Feb. 20, 1943, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Howard David Jones Sr. and Lois Leadbetter Jones McQuiddy. David lived in Marshall his entire life where he was a 1961 graduate of Marshall High School, then attended University of Missouri-Columbia. On Sept. 9, 1962, he married Janice Ash, who survives of the home. David was involved in insurance, real estate, farming and was an auctioneer. He also enjoyed owning and operating Pink Possum Posey Patch Greenhouse. David was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife, Janice; he is survived by five children, David Jones and wife Glenna of Higginsville, Rick Jones of Marshall, Amy Jones of Marshall, Ben Jones and wife Karla of Marshall, and Alyson Jones and companion Mike Nitzschke of Raymore; seven grandchildren, Gage and Keely Nitzschke, Sofia, Erlan and Nastja Jones, and Brecken and Rooke Jones; his grand-dog, Gertie; three sisters, Judy Duffer of Marshall, Ginger Ritchey of Kansas City and Sabra Noon of Cleveland, Ga.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
