Florence Hanes Meads, 92, of Holden, formerly of Marshall, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, at Holden Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Born Sept. 29, 1923, in Aullville, Florence was the daughter of the late Charles H. Dickson and Bessie A. Gemes Dickson. On May 29, 1940, she married Boyd E. "Buster" Hanes, who preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 1978. On April 25, 1980, she married Melvin Oral Meads, who preceded her in death on June 3, 2009. She lived in Marshall most of her life and retired from Banquet Foods.

Survivors include three daughters, Sandra Miller and husband, James, Karen Hammack and husband, Doug, and Pamela Green, all of Marshall; one son, Charles B. Hanes of Sedalia; one brother-in-law, Jack Hanes of Marshall; one sister-in-law, Helen Dickson of Marshall; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Florence was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert Dickson Sr., Steward Dickson and twin brother, Lawrence Dickson; two sisters, Ida Belle Forth and Imogene Smith; two brothers and one sister in infancy; one granddaughter in infancy; and a son-in-law, Calvin Green.
