Cattle Auction Report for 01/26/16                 
 
Receipts:  692    Week Ago:  256    Year Ago:  1086  

   Compared to the last tested market two weeks ago, feeder steers and heifers 
traded steady to 3.00 lower. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 higher. Several 
reputation consignments in town this week, providing some outstanding quality 
cattle in medium sized drafts for buyers to build around. Supply moderate and 
demand moderate to good. Cows and bulls accounted for 11 percent of the total 
offering. The feeder supply consisted of 66 percent steers and 33 percent heifers; 
61 percent of all the feeder cattle weighed over 600 lbs. 

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 228.00-230.00; 400-500 lbs 
210.00-217.00; 500-600 lbs 167.50-191.00; 600-700 lbs 157.00-170.50; 700-800 
lbs 154.00-160.00; 800-900 lbs 143.00-145.50.  Medium and Large 1-2  pkg 382 
lbs 212.00; 400-500 lbs 191.00-201.00; 500-600 lbs 176.50-182.25; 600-700 lbs
