Cattle Auction Report for Jan 25, 2016:

Receipts: 625 Week Ago: 685 Year Ago: 419

Compared to last week, too few comparable sales for an accurate price trend for steers, however a higher undertone was noted. Heifers were mostly steady to 5.00 higher, except heifer calves under 500 lbs were 7.00 to 15.00 higher. Demand moderate to good with a moderate supply. The feeder offering included near 44 percent steers, 17 percent bulls, 39 percent heifers, and 37 percent were over 600 lbs. Cows and bulls accounted for 18

percent of the offering. Slaughter cows were steady to firm.
