LaVerne S. Tennill
LaVerne S. Tennill, 84, of Marshall, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016, at Good Samaritan Care Center in Cole Camp.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow and the Rev. James McAllister officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday Jan. 11, 2016, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Salem Evangelical Cemetery near Arrow Rock. Memorials may be made to family choice. Born May 27, 1931, in Napton, LaVerne was the daughter of the late John Albert Seibold and Ora Caroline Schlapper Seibold. On April 26, 1958, she married Raymond Luther Tennill, who preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 2013. She lived in Saline County her entire life and was a member of Salem Evangelical Church. She retired from the Marshall Habilitation and was active in the Foster Grandparent Program.
Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Adams and husband, Eddie; of Ionia; eight grandchildren, Brad Adams of Cole Camp, John Tennill and wife, Franny, of Unionville, Audrey Stapleton and husband, Jason, of Edgerton, Don Adams and wife, Randi, of Willard, Les Adams and wife, Masha, of Marshall, Priscilla Blackmore and husband, Tad, of Green Ridge, Rachael Hinkle of Greenridge, and Heather Mustain and husband, Kris, of Pleasant Hope; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; one sister, Helen McAllister of Lebanon; one brother, Wayne Seibold of Jacksonville, Fla. and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Raymond, LaVerne was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Glenn Tennill.
