A collision at the intersection of Grant Avenue and Vest Street in Marshall resulted in injuries for both drivers at approximately 2:25 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23.

Jonathan Adams, 28, of Marshall, driving a motorcycle eastbound on Vest, struck the vehicle driven by Dora Warden, 75, also of Marshall, in the passenger side door. Adams was propelled over the top of Warnden's automobile where he crashed to the pavement on the other side.

Witnesses at the scene said Warden came to a stop at the intersection, which has stop signs posted for both northbound and southbound traffic, giving the eastbound and westbound traffic the right of way. However, according to witnesses, she then pulled through the intersection in front of Adams. One witness at the scene said Adams could be heard loudly accelerating just prior to the crash.

Adams and Warden were both transported from the scene by Saline County and Slater EMS, respectively.
