Cattle Auction Report for 12/15/15

Receipts: 360 Week Ago: 822 Year Ago: 708

Very light feeder offering this week but a few comparable sales of steers
and heifers sold 5.00 to 10.00 lower. Slaughter cows 3.00-6.00 lower. More market
volatility this week has left most everyone involved in the cattle sector ready for
a holiday break. Supply light and demand light to moderate. Cows and bulls
accounted for 35 percent of the total offering. The feeder supply consisted of 46
percent steers and bulls and 54 percent heifers; 30 percent of all the feeder
cattle weighed over 600 lbs.

***This is the last sale of 2015 at Missouri Valley Commission Company. No sale
December 22nd or 29th. The barn will be open to receive cattle again Sunday, January
3rd for the Tuesday, January 5th sale. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the
MDA-USDA Market News Staff.***
