MSDC Executive Director steps down

Tuesday, December 1, 2015

The Marshall-Saline Development Corporation met in closed session Tuesday, Dec. 1, where Executive Director Bill Riggins notified the board of his resignation effective immediately.

Riggins spoke briefly about his time at MSDC during a phone interview, and said since he took the position in 2011, some of the bigger projects he was involved in were obtaining a contract for the old Fitzgibbon Hospital, getting the Marshall School system into the Spainhower Building at the Marshall Habilitation Center and also creating the housing in Slater for consumers from the habilitation center who elected to go into private housing.

Riggins noted the details of his resignation are due to personal matters.

The board will meet in regular session at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8.
