The 18-year-old Missouri Valley College student arrested Wednesday, Nov. 18, under suspicion of making terroristic threats is now facing felony charges.

Paris Gregory-Drew Lovett, 18, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., was taken into custody by the Marshall Police Department Wednesday after the college's Department of Public Safety and Division of Student Affairs received notice of a threat posted to the social media application "Yik Yak."

MVC's safety text alert informed the campus community that there was no emergency but a posted threat on social media.

One student reported that classes had not been cancelled, as far as she was aware.

MPD and the Department of Public Safety and Division of Student Affairs were able to work with Yik Yak personnel to track the account.

According to unofficial online court documents, Lovett was charged with a Class D felony of Making a Terrorist Threat with Reckless Disregard of Risk of Causing Evacuation/Closure of Building, Inhabitable Structure, Place of Assembly or Facility of Transportation.

No hearing or trial information is yet available through online court documents. Lovett has a $5,000 cash only bond.
