Community chorus builds up repertoire for next concert

The Marshall Community Chorus will present its fall concert, "Music in Bloom," on Sunday, Oct. 18, at the Covenant Presbyterian Church. The concert will begin at 3 p.m.

The chorus will perform a variety of music including "Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man," "Mr. Sandman," "All The Things You Are," "What'll I Do" and "The Lake."

James Woodland is the director with accompanist Julie Lewis.

Final rehearsals for the concert will be Monday, Oct. 12, and Thursday, Oct. 15, from 6-8 p.m.

The chorus has met every Monday night since the beginning of August to rehearse for the concert. The chorus is made up of approximately 35-40 members, who all share an interest in music.

The chorus will also present a Christmas concert as well as a concert in the spring.

The public is invited to attend this free concert, with a reception immediately following the concert.

Covenant Presbyterian Church is located at 710 E. Yerby St.
