Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 9/29/15                 
 
Receipts:  311    Week Ago:  469    Year Ago:  346    

   Compared to last week, a very light offering of feeder steers and heifers sold 
fully 10.00 to 15.00 lower. Slaughter cows 5.00 to 8.00 lower. Pretty much every 
sector of the cattle market still trying to find a solid bottom and at this point 
“sharply lower” is an understatement. Supply and demand light. Cows and bulls 
accounted for 40 percent of the total offering. The feeder supply consisted of 78 
percent steers and bulls and 22 percent heifers; 21 percent of all the feeder 
cattle weighed over 600 lbs.  

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1 pkg 461 lbs fleshy/unweaned 210.00; few 
500-600 lbs 200.00-215.00, pkg 508 lbs fleshy/unweaned 200.50.  Medium and 
Large 1-2  300-400 lbs 201.00-211.00; 400-500 lbs 206.50-211.00; 600-700 lbs 
170.00-175.00; 700-800 lbs 156.00-170.00.  

   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1-2  pkg 438 lbs 175.00; 500-600 lbs 
160.00-166.50; few pkgs 600 lbs 161.0-161.50.  Medium and Large 2  pkg 341 lbs 
141.00.
