Boonville - Missouri Valley Commission Company: Cattle Auction Report for 11/11/14

   Compared to last week’s light supply feeder steers sold 5.00 to 8.00 higher 
and heifers firm to 5.00 higher. Slaughter cows steady to 3.00 higher. A few 
load lots and several partial loads of yearlings on offer this week, all long 
time weaned with all the work done. Many of the cattle carrying a little extra 
flesh, proof of the ideal grazing situation we’ve experienced this year. The 
first cold spell of the year moved in overnight with temperatures expected to 
stay well below the normal range for the foreseeable future. Supply moderate and 
demand good. Cows and bulls accounted for 11 percent of the total offering.  The 
feeder supply consisted of 57 percent steers and bulls and 43 percent heifers; 
63 percent of all the feeder cattle weighed over 600 lbs.
