Receipts: 662 Week Ago: 611 Year Ago: 731

No recent price comparison available as the last tested feeder market was
three weeks ago. In general, true comparisons to that sale were scarce but did
show a lower undertone, with the exception of 500-600 lb heifers, which were
this week’s hottest commodity. Lots of good yearling cattle on hand with many
carrying some flesh. The discounts for those types were more severe than in
recent weeks. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 lower. Supply moderate and demand
good. Cows and bulls accounted for 09 percent of the total offering. The feeder
supply consisted of 58 percent steers and bulls and 42 percent heifers: 71
percent of all the feeder cattle weighed over 600 lbs.
