   Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers 5.00 to 10.00 higher. 
Slaughter cows steady. Another fairly light run of feeder cattle but quality was 
much improved over last week and the market responded accordingly. Lots of talk 
around the barn about local harvest progress, with most guys just getting 
started in the last several days. Supply moderate and demand moderate to good. 
Cows and bulls accounted for 21 percent of the total offering. The feeder supply 
consisted of 63 percent steers and bulls and 37 percent heifers; 18 percent of 
all the feeder cattle weighed over 600 lbs. 

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  pkg 398 lbs 324.00; 400-500 lbs 300.00-
311.00; 500-600 lbs 265.00-296.00; 600-700 lbs 264.50-265.00.  Medium and Large 
1-2  pkg 39 lbs 308.00; 500-600 lbs 265.00-281.00; 600-700 lbs 250.00-251.00; 
pkg 735 lbs 230.00.  Medium 2  pkg 381 lbs 275.00.  

   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 250.00-289.00; 500-600 lbs 
240.00-259.00; pkg 698 lbs 231.00; pkg 754 lbs 219.00.  Medium and Large 1-2  
pkg 495 lbs 263.00; 500-600 lbs 231.00-246.00.  

   Feeder Bulls:  Medium and Large 1-2  400-500 lbs 261.00-312.00; pkg 589 lbs
